Mold Making for Custom Order
To ensure a proper fit and comfort, all custom orders should have the mold of the client's head.
We accept the following types of molds.
The Three Best Options
These options include that the finished custom unit will be returned with a smooth foam block mold of the client's head.
Plastic PVC Molds
This type of mold could also give you the “eggshell-modeling quality.” The finished custom unit will be returned with a smooth foam block mold of the client's head.
Techform Molds
This type of mold is very accurate. It is made of fiberglass strips, which will not mold like Plaster Cast.
Other acceptable options
Packing Tape Molds
It is recommended to have 2 to 3 layers for a good shape. Do not fold them.
Scotch Tape Molds
This mold should only be used once. For a good shape, it is recommended that it have 4 to 5 layers. Do not fold them.
Reminder
Mark the mold clearly
Use permanent-colored markers, each one with a different color, to draw on the mold the following:
- PU
- Binding
- Width of lace
- Hair direction
