Welded Base
Welded lace bases vary by strength. Finer welded lace is more delicate, so the combined hair length and density must stay within the recommended limits for that base.
4/4A super fine welded lace base and the most delicate welded lace option.
6/6A fine welded lace base, stronger than 4/4, but still limited by weight.
8/8The strongest welded base; suitable for any hair length and density.

Skin
For skin units, longer hair or heavier density usually requires a thicker base. For example, a very long XTS order with higher density may no longer qualify as an XTS construction.
